This Christmas was great for many reasons, but also because I was able to create a gift for Wes's and my sweet niece, Caylei. It's a great way to use a series of photos from a family trip or vacation, instead of having single photos lying around to be lost or damaged. I have wanted to order a layflat album for quite some time now and this was the perfect opportunity. I created a custom photo cover in a 8x8" size with 25 custom pages that was designed by yours truly.

It's fall...my favorite time of year. We didn't experience very beautiful colors on the leaves this year but I've seen some randomly around the state of NC and Pennsylvania.

And Pony Boy enjoyed lying in the yard on Sunday....isn't he handsome!

Cherry came for a visit a couple weeks ago, so I decided it was a good time to practice some portraits. Immediately when the dogs get outside they run in circles around the yard as many times as possible until they are too tired to go any further. Well that's probably why every shot I took of the two of them, tongues are hanging out. There's a couple more cute ones of Cherry (red collar) that I'll post later.

This was a scheduled attempt at my new venture in "pet photography." This is Rosco & Oakley...we met up at a very nice park in Hickory. With pieces of ham that they devoured, I don't think either realized they were on a photoshoot, but just out to play! I do like flowers...I can't help it. I guess it's part of being a female, we are just drawn to their beauty. Wes surprised me with these daffodils last Sunday! It makes my heart happy.

Starbucks Snowman

Snowed today...and yes, I still had to wake up before the sun to get to work. Thanks to Wes for driving me because I'm too scared to. People still braved the snow and ice to get their precious Starbucks. I would rather have stayed in bed. But I took a few more pictures that I will post later of Statesville.

This is the snowman Tony built in front of the store complete with coffee bean eyes, and mouth, and a spoon nose. And just remember- if you have a coffee pot....use it!

One of my favorite shots I took when I went to Wilmington for Crystal & Joey's baby shower for Caylei. There are tons of good ones...but I don't think they are great (Crystal, Joey, and Dixie were awesome models). It was my first set of "maternity" photos so I was a bit nervous. Eh..more to come

I absolutely love this tree...I hope it stays forever, so I can keep taking pictures of it. It brings peace to my anxiety when I look at it. Just messing around with this one...trying to apply different textures to it. The clouds were amazing this day, but you can't really tell in this photo. Oh well...I still think it looks kinda cool.

Mistur

I got to visit Mistur (the cat) and my friend Mindy this past weekend. I lived with them in Asheboro during my second year at RCC. Mistur is the greatest...I miss him and Mindy.

Mindy and Mistur lived with my mom and I for a summer while we did our internships in Charlotte. Mistur had a billion of these little mice he would play with. I found them in my clothes, and shoes and various places where he would leave them for me. Even after they moved back to Winston, I found 15-20 of them under the stove and refrigerator. I miss him. :-)

I woke up at 5 pm (yes p.m.) to some snow falling and took Pony out to play in it. Took a few shots with black & white film- which I probably overexposed because my meter is broken. But heres a couple from yesterday. The snow was a disappointment like it usually is in this area. But it was still pretty to watch. More to come....
